I'm currently running a 180 series on my bike but when it wears out I'm switching to a 160 series due to a 180 being very tight fit. Is that wide enough to squeeze any car tires in from your experience?
I didn't know the 205 would fit. So I went with the Bridgestone Terranza 195-65-16 and it works great. There is a big debate in the SCRC right now about CT's on bikes. I was a road captain in the club, they told me I had to ride as a tail gunner from now on because of the CT. I told them, they could stick there club up there ***. Some people are narrow minded and stupid, you can't fix either one.
I'll be going to one when it is time on the RK, previous exp. on a faster better handling bike.
the dealer already give me grief day one about putting on my non harley dunlop elites on my roulettes !
I have extensively researched this and it looks like the favorite is Austone taxi tire. Have not tried it yet but will be soon when my Elites wear out. https://www.universaltire.com/dunlop...axi-black.html
BTW good luck with this thread not turning into a debate, Just ignore them as they can not help themselves. Don't know why folks want to give unsolicited opinions on things they know nothing about. Just the nature of forums I guess. I am sure there will be a naysayer along any minute now.
NAY
Think I'll try a retread next.

I'm really not trying to stir things up, but I keep seeing "darkside" posts and am confused. Why do some riders want to run car tires on their bikes? Just wondering ...

The 205 fits but it has to be a 205/60/16 or 55/16, not a 65. The 65 will rub the dust off from barely touching the fender at the swing arm. The closest thing a 205/60/16 comes to is the belt which it clears by about 3/16", not much but it clears. It will clear even more with a 55, probably no more than 1/4" or 5/16". I think next time I will go with a 55, not for clearance issues but because that would lower the back about a 1/2" more which would also make my windshield slightly higher to look over giving me more wind protection.
