The advantage the Voyager kit has over a trike or a triked bike is that you can, in minutes change from bike-to-trike and /or trike-to-bike.
THe drawback is that when you add the kit to your bike, it does not steer as easily as a true trike due to the rake of the bike forks (so I have been told).
Another advantage is the cost of the Voyager Kit is about 1/2 of the cost of a trike conversion.
One problem with them is they can get stuck going in and our of driveways. The side wheels can keep the center wheel from contacting the pavement. One wheel on the street and one wheel on an incline you have to push it to get traction.
No reverse either, however for someone who is at a point in life where they need a trike or have to hang up their helmet, it is an affordable alternative.
I test rode the H-D trike two days ago when the demo fleet stopped by a local dealer. I really hated it. I think it was 50/50 my bike is setup how I want it for me and the trike just sucked.
