SE Syn or Amsoil?

Are there any warranty issues with using AmsOil during the warranty period? Thanks.

I would use what ever you want after the warranty period.

No issues using Amsoil during warranty period. It definitely exceeds the OEM specs.

As long as your oil meets the HD specified service ratings and you follow the owners manual for proper viscosities, you should be good. I've never heard of any warranty issues due to using XXX brand oil as long as it meets the HD specs.

My dealer will put it what ever oil you want when you bring it in for service; however they only sell HD oils.

This is a false statement. There is a law that states you can use whatever oil you want just as long as it meets or exceeds a manufacture spec. For example the oil might have to have a "CD of CF" rating. Look on the back of the oil bottle and the rating will be on the back. The primary is the only spot you have to use a motorcycle specific oil due to the wet clutch (JASO spec I believe). You can use a gear oil in the trans if you want but I will say the AMSOIL 20w50 will work nicely in all 3 places for you.
