I'm 6'3", and have the mount bracket attached to the 2nd to last hole (one notch forward of the most rearward position). Running a Sundowner seat and adjusted the allen screw so the backrest angle "feels right". Just completed a two-up 2007 mile trip, very comfy. Hope this helps.

I tried the non-adjustable one, didn't bend it or anything but did keep putting washers under the bolts but I could never keep it from pushing me onto the tank. Sold that and bought a mustang, which seems to work great!!

It does push your lower back forward, but that's where it's supposed to be if you sit up perfectly straight. You will be surprised how much better you will feel after riding a long ways in this position. And the screw in the back does do something, it makes the bottom and the top off the pad hit you evenly. Set the whole thing up so your hands drop naturally onto the grips. I have ridden 800 miles in a day that I couldn't have with out mine

Thanks for all of the input guys. I am still confused by the backrest pad angle screw? I played with it both in almost all the way and out almost all the way and it doesn't seem to really do much from what I can see or feel? What am I missing?
