Default Tour Pak lock?

To lock my tour pak I have to lift the lid about a 1/8 inch to allow the latch bar to engage. This does not seem normal to me. I was thinking that I would elongate the holes on the inner lock part so I could drop it down a bit. The Outer lid latch works fine as is so I don't want to move it, just the inside piece. Anybody else have this problem, or is it supposed to be this way?

...yeah, I had to take out screws and just wiggle into a better position, didn't mess with holes. That and a little creative bending and it fits up right. Just visualize where the problem is and move/bend a little to fix.

Yes I have the same problem, sounds like a design problem.

Just drill some holes in the tour pak, then put a hasp and pad lock on it![sm=lockeddance.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif]

I have to push down on mine. It wasn't on the bike when I bought it, though, if that counts....

Mine did just the opposite, once closed and locked it would be able to be lifted about an 1/8 to 1/4 inch.
Found the lock tumbler assembly loosened and let the lock asssembly turn just a bit.
Re-aligned and tightened. Alls good.
