Going to get oil cooler which one recommended. I see the HD premium cooler is about $300, the jagg with fan is about $550. Can use little feedback on choices or is there any other suggestions. Thanks
i was in your boat recently, went from a 96 stocker to SE 103 w 255 cams and SEPST. i added the HD cooler and have been happy so far. been riding in 90+ temps here in western Pa and no pinging or heat related issues.
I just got the Jagg fan assist FP2400 and oil adapter 4700 w/thermostat, and anti rotation kit from Direct Harley Parts, got a good deal as well.
I did a lot of research and to me, it was the best choice in terms of oil cooling performance and reasonable price point. I narrowed down my choice between the HD premium cooler and Jagg and what convinced me was the addition of the fan assisted forced air cooling. In stop and go traffic, this will provide the needed "moving" air to assist in cooling the oil. The HD cooler does not provide this option.
I called Jagg and I personally talked to the owner and chief designer, Marv, a nice fellow who took his time to explain to me his product.
good luck on your choice...
