Love mine, use it all the time. There have been many posts on this issue, including those who feel the backrest does not sit low enough (close enough) to the seat or to far forward.
It's great. I have 04 RK Police model with air suspension rider seat. I used the Sundowner backrest and welded the receiver bracket to the seat bar so the backrest rides with the air suspension. It's great.
Sorry guys. I hate mine. I feel like I'm to far forward. I have the bracket mounted as far as possibleusing the holes they tell you not to use. I havnt givin up though, I'm thinking about bending it so it will lay back some. I love the idea of it.
Most backrests have an adjustment screw that lets them lean back, before you bend it , make sure you have tryed that adjustment.
