80W gear oil is equiv to 40W engine oil. Since 10W40 is fine to ruin in a 6 speed transmission, I wouldn't worry about running 80W gear oil.

We use a lot of the heavy shockproof in cars and I have seen the redline turn green over time confusing people making them believe they put something different.

One thing to remember is colors are given through color enhancers has nothing to do with the oils, don't know why they color their.oils maybe is part of marketing who know.

I won't run anything other than AMSOIL Severegear, way to many bikes and cars running it.

+1. Im back with Amsoil 75W-140 gear oil. Ran the pepto bismol redline shockproof stuff once but never again.

Never had that happen. It always looks a little darker-pink when I drain it, usually at around 5000 miles, but I've never seen any green color. I always use the V-Twin transmission oil version, though.
