Default Sundowner installation

I'm putting on a Sundowner seat on my RK Classic. Can anyone tell me what size torx socketis used to get the rear bracket off the old seat? Thanks.

What goes into changing out seats? What steps? Fairly easy?

Remove seat. Remove front and back bracket. Couple of torx screws. Install in predrilled holes on new seat. Put her back on. Takes 10 minutes.

I have an 07 RKC, and curious to know the process for taking off the seat to begin with. I can 'see' 1 bolt by the pillion, but where is the other? Is it under near the motor?

Take the strap off, unscrew the bolt by the pillion and the seat pulls off.

I got the new seat on and I think I will like it. The only thing is the strap that came with it is really loose and looks like crap. I guess I'll keep it off.

I just put the RKC Sundowner Solo on my 2007 and it was a little bit of a pain. It didn't want toinsert forwardenough to allow the rear bracket bolts to engage. I had to bend the metal "tongue" under the seat to make it slide forward enough. What looked to be a 10 minute job took me almost an hour. Didn't help that I let the rear bracket fall through and had to fish the bolts back up through the fender! I replaced the white plastic bracket retainers with black ones that came with the seat kit. Unless you need to change the color of the plastic retainers, leave them alone! My bike is vivid black so the white retainers would have looked terrible.
