Can anyone help me I bought a 2011 Street Glide and I am not sure what to do about an extended warrantee? I sold my 1995 Road king and was able to work on it myself. How reliable are the new Street glides?
RELIABLE. I wouldnt waste the money unless you really just want it for piece of mind. Probably will cost more than you will get out of it unless service is included! Congrats on the new ride!
2011 FLHX 103" happy owner without extended warranty nor problem! GREAT bike!!!
If you where able to work on your 95 RK you shouldn't have any trouble to do the same on this twin cam exept maybe for the eletronic side like on any new bike now!
Find a good independent specialist in your area; if we have some in europe you should find easely one aroud you :-)
Extended warranty = extended headache,
at least in my book.
Sounds like you are a handy guy and 2011 bikes are pretty solid, so save your money, dealing with their customer service on warranty issues is not a relationship you want to pay to extend.
Congrats on the new 2011 Street glide, that just might be the best bike on the planet!
