They look pretty cool......but......

I stopped spending $$ on shades since they always get lost, stolen or sat on.

Worked part-time at a Sunglass Hut for 6 years and buying sunglasses is part of my job presently. Polarized is the way to go!!! I've heard what you are saying about wator/oil spots. Don't pay any attention. Polarized makes the glare go away. That is what everyone wants. Now, when the sun beats down on an oil/water patch you get a lot of glare. So with regular glasses that glare on oil/water really gets your attention. Doesn't mean you can't still see it with polarized. Just means it doesn't BLIND you.

Get the polarized. You won't be sorry. Go somewhere reputatable. Buy'em, wear'em on a bright Saturday, return'em the next day if you disagree. You won't be sorry. Get polarized!

Don't know anything about Mikes Infernos. Maybe be very good but I'm leery of something at a bike week that costing that much that I haven't heard of. I'll tell you Maui Jim makes the best lens available but they don't do foam for riding. I'll also tell you I have a pair of transitional Wind Jacket Oakley's that I bought the wind gasket kit for. They are FAAAAAANTASTIC!!! Plus they have over 20 available lens that are incredibly easy to switch out. Tried'em out in the rain with my half helmet and they are great at that too!!! Which was my ultimate test. They are my secondary glasses for night, rain, dusk. Maui Jims are my regulars.

I have only been to two optometrists here in Mesa and they both carried them. One place carried Ray Bans and Maui Jim's as well. Even with my discount they were out of my range for the same reasons stated above, lost or ruined. Just call around to Doctors that take your plan.

I don't like aluminum framed sunglasses , if they sit in the sun for just a few minutes, they will burn the crap out of your face when you put them on.

I hadn't thought about that, but I had them out in 95-98 degrees and sunny and didn't have an issue with them being hot.

I have to agree with you, this is my first pair of polarized (I even had to look-up what polarized was prior to purchasing) and I think it is the way to go - no more blinding glare.

America's Best has perscription motorcycle sun glasses starting at 100.00.

These are way to pricey for me, I have a 5.00 limit unless I have no other options, then I might do up to 20.00.
