I have a 1/2 helmet for when it is hot and warm and a FF HD helmet for when the temp gets below 45.
I need to replace my 1/2 and was considering a full face all the time if i can find a well vented one.
Wife has a 3/4 that she really likes.
I just bought a Scorpion on sale that is awesome on the ventilation, and has a internal flip down sunshade. I also have a Shoei RF 1100 that I love as well, if you don't mind the price. Very well vented
For all but the shortest trips I like a ff or modular helmet. The ability to reduce wind and noise when desired is a real luxury and a real fatigue reducer on longer trips. A well vented helmet is not a problem even if very hot outside. Weight is the only real problem if you have orthopedic problems. Have a great trip.
My wife and I both wear Schuberth C3 helmets, with built-in bluetooth communicators. The dealer we got them from has a trained fitter (worth visiting just for that experience I can tell you!) who makes sure your helmet is the correct fit. I've never bought a helmet through the post, but will look out that young lady next time - er, look to get my next one properly fitted.
