Anyone running with 2 wind screens at the same time
Just saw a an Ultra at the dealer with 2 screens mounted. One black low profile screen and a clear screen with a size of 8-10" I guess (which was in front of the black one) . This might be a good solution to get rid of the buffeting and keep the 'cool' factor. Now I'm doubting about doing this job on my SG. Is there anyone who tried the same and would like to share his experiences? What about the mounting bolts, do you think they need to be longer?
I might think that set up would stress the fairing at the top, unless the windscreen(s) were thinner than normal.
a similar effect may be found by mounting a windscreen at the height which works for wind/weather, and using a dark tint panel on the lower portion or even a tbag style fairing pouch.
i don't have a photo from the front handy, but you might get a sense of it from this, the tbag presents an uninterrupted dark panel about 5 inches high

Without seeing a picture, I would guess you're right about the cool factor. The black screen looks fine, the clear one gives better protection. The black one could be thin, even stuck on.

Reason: Grammar!
Looked at the madstad site but it wasn't a madstad. He really mounted 2shields (had a close look and should have asked). Thanks guys for the idea of buying a tall clearview shield and paint or glue a low dark shield.

Hi mike do they sell these panels without a fairing pouch?
It creates a low pressure area and the wind goes straight up. Much more efficient. I saw a Road Glide with that set up as it it much more forgiving in making the set-up.
I hope someday someone makes it work for a bat-wing model.
I wouldnt do 2 shields on one fairing. bad mojo. you'd probably crack the fairing. We were working on a gradient shield as we speak with black at the bottom fading to clear at the top. don't know how far away we are on it, but shouldn't be too long
