So I have worn down my Dunlop D407. All the local stealers in Utah want $298 minimum for the tire. I found some threads on here, and there was a place in Missouri that was doing a special 50% off tire cost if you have them do the labor and they were 50% off the labor - that just happens to be a little out of my way to save money.
So - do any of you guys know of shops within a half days ride of SLC that are running any specials?
Do any of you know a better price on the WWW 180/65B 16 other than Latus Harley ($249) [It has to be the Wide White Wall since it is going on a RKC]
Since I'm probably going to end up ordering online and pulling the wheel myself, are there any tricks to it? My heritage had to have one of the mufflers removed in order to pull the axle... anything like that to have to look forward to?
I called Dunlop and they wont release the American Cruiser (or whatever the popular model from Jake Wilson is) in a WWW until some time next year, and the D407 is HD Dealer only.... so frustrating.
I am having new D407s put on next week. The prices you refer to are about as good as I could find too. Dealer price is $275 plus $85 in labor for the rear.
