Need a new front tire
Got a Metzeler me888 on rear and it's time to replace the Dunlop up front. Anybody know of a place online with discounted prices on Metzeler ? All the sites I found so far seem a little high...

It is far too convenient to me to use my local Yamaha dealer, who charges decent prices for new tyres and fits them for free on a wheel if taken in. I no longer chase the best bargain! Have you looked around local suppliers?

If all the sites are a little high then maybe that's the going price. I would also ditch the Metz's for the Michelin Commanders, better life in that tire than the Metz's. The dealers around here won't even mount a tire not bought from them, liability issue they say.

Never bought Metzlers from them, but have bought 2 Dunlops from Rocky Mountain ATV.com and they are a whole lot cheaper than local dealers. But as mentioned before, only way to get it mounted is yourself or an independent shop. Dealer won't touch it.

I would suggest that it might not be the best time to buy. Motorcycle Superstore had a tire sale awhile back but right now I don't know of anyone having tires on sale. I would guess that the week following Christmas might be a really good time to look as most businesses try to capitalize during the week after Christmas to boost their year's sales.
