Hey all, I am trying to decide on a new set of bars for my '04 Electra Glide Police Special. I have narowed it down to 2 choices:
*Wild 1's W0575
*13" Cyclesmith Ape's
Delema is this...I like the looks of both. Love the feel of apes on the bike and feel it is a very compfortable position. IMHO, it does not look as id the Wild 1's change the position of your hands all that much, however the 13"s may change them TOO much!
Has anyone gone thru the same prediciment as me, and if so how did you make your final decisions???
If you have a electra glide which is the version with the fairing, you best be sure they have the very wide base needed to fit the bike, if its a road king police, no problem.
I installed 575's on my Street Glide. I really love the bars, but they are wider than stock. The wider bars do block a portion of viweing through the read mirrors. It did require different cables and front brake lines, but overall the change was worth it.
