Is my gas cap normal?
The other day I got gas and when I put the cap back on, something didn't feel right. Like it didn't get tight or something. Possibly totally my imagination, not sure. I screw it on til it clicks a couple times. I can then turn it about a full turn counter-clockwise (lefty loosy) before there is any resistance at all. Then there is a little resistance, and it unscrews the rest of the way. Just felt weird to me all of a sudden. Bike is an 04 Road King. Is that right, or do I need a new cap? Gasket maybe?

my 07 springer classic does that same thing. Seems to me that it is built into the cap to do that for whatever reason. I have often wondered why it is designed to do that but have not worried about it.

my stock 2010 cap doesn't do that, but the really cool p&a cap that i put on my sportster does.
