I went last year for the first time. The riding is phenominal. I'm not that much of a partier so I didn't spend a lot of time in Sturgis itself. There seemed to be alot of everything for anyone. There's alot of history in the area. Got a real sense of it in places like Deadwood and Lead. Any of the locals that I had interaction with seemed to be decent people. The motel I stayed at had a map of the rides and attractions in the area. I'll definetly return someday, and I imagine the next time will be more enjoyable.
Lead, Deadwood, Custer,Keystone all great little towns to visit. Riding oh boy some of the nicest riding i have ever done. Easier to get into Sturgis during the day than night for me anyhow. Spearfish is very nice.
We're staying at the Chip, trying to pick destinations for every day, Deadwood, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Downtown Sturgis (probably more than once) and be back early, red about a lot of people that head to Sundance and Hulitt Wyoming on Wednesday for some big bash over there.
Check out sturgis.com, they have a full event listing of things going on everyday
Great pics guys..... I got to get there some time the riding and partying look insane. I'm jealous my wife gave me grief over the NY hog rally I went for 5 days so maybe I will drive her nuts and do Dturgis next year. Have a blast bros and ride safe...watch the drinking u know the pitfalls.
