The stuff in Glass that is Harley branded. I poured a bottle in a near full tank that was pinging alot and it stopped completely. I tried to induce pinging and it was gone!!! I only use it IF I have a serious pinging only!
I saw that stuff was out of town on a trip but not around here. Do you happen to have the part # off the bottle?
I try to find Shell or BP first, 66 or Conoco as a alternate and go no less than 91, in Kasas seemed we could only find 91 with ethanol, was crappy for mileage but only short term.
When I have to add, I use Startron gas additive, Brick City Customs in Mexico MO suggested it, seems to do the trick for sitting time to keep from souring.
I read in another post a few days ago where adding octane boost only increases the octane by a tenth of a percent or maybe two tenths. If that is true, that ain't much.
Tho it sucked in far off area's, I use to use an E85 mix on my 11.5-1 S&S engine.
E85 is 105 octane, mixing was a hassle. I knew where to go, but damn limited my options on long trips. Even here in the E85 happy states. My mix was 50/50. E85 is so hard to find .
I went to a bagger @ 8.5 compression will run on 87 octane most of the time.
