Default lowering an 09 Road King Classic

Hi,

I got an 09 RKC that I'll be putting 18 and 21 inch wheels on. Apparently I have to lower it. I was thinking about just going with either the street glide shocks (or progressive for the street glide) or with an air bag system (Arnott or other.). Then, going with the progressive suspsension lowering kit up front.

My question is... I'm a footboard scraper already (I'm a kneedragger on my other bikes), how much turning ability am I going to lose if I lower the bike?

Thanks!

Start with 16" rims ... sorry just being a smart ***.

I have 11" Bitching Bagger Drop Shocks .

There stock air shocks cut down diffrent oil and spring.

Also on my 2008 you can raise the floorboards ,not sure if you can with the newer frame

You have two choices IMHO; leave your wheels stock diameter and your suspension stock height, if you want to go footboard scraping, also for comfort. If you want to change to custom size wheels you may find you have to make some compromises.

I suggest you keep your hands firmly in your pockets for a while, leave your bike alone and spend more time in here, getting familiar with what is available. Having come off a Duke you may like to consider Ohlins suspension.....
