Im just wondering if an hid projector conversion would be better? Brighter light and hopfully keep it out of the the oncoming traffics eyes. Has anyone compared the two? I really find the led in corners is too short sighted. I just want to know if there are some better options?
Thanks...
HID bulbs disperse light different than halogen. It is illegal to put a HID bulb into an automotive halogen fixture because of the way the light is reflected into oncoming traffic, and I can only assume it's the same for a motorcycle.

Putting a projection conversion will be better because it will put the light where it needs to go. With that being said, I love my Phase 7.

This is true, they should be out soon, from what I understand the price will be $699 and so far they are only available in chrome.

I don't think they were specifically designed for H-D. Truck-Lite made them as universal replacements. They are popular in the Jeep community. Military also uses them. They just happen to fit in the touring headlight bucket

I have the same custom dynamic trucklite phase 7 on my SG. I usually run my headlight on high beam during the day just to make sure I have the best chance of being seen. Where I live it is the exception that drivers aren't screwing around with their cell phones in some way or another.

From what I gather, the Truck light Phase 7 was designed from feed back by soldiers that were looking for better lighting on their HumVees and other military vehicles. They requested a light that would shine both further down the road and also to light up the sides of the road to assist in spotting bad guys in ambush as well as locating IED's.

Their lights are made of cast metal instead of the standard plastic to dissapate heat, and provide a robust construction.

Harley guys, truckers, and off road guys discovered these, and opened up a new market for the lights. They were not specifically designed for Harley.

Most reviews say the HD lenses have advantages for bikes, but for the 1/2 price value, many say the Truck-Lite's are good enought.

I bought mine when I became frustrated with the higher output bulbs burning out. Several on a trip to Sturgis, and ordered the LED when returning home.

I had almost given up riding at night, as there was always some anxiety about the very limited output of the stock single light.

With the LED there is more than enought light for me to no longer fear the dark.
