Do lower fairings prevent buffeting on SG?
Hi guys,
I can buy a set of used vented lower fairings. Do they contibute to solve the buffeting on a SG?
The color is blue, do you think if it wil fit my vivid black SG? I'm doubting about that but can repaint them if I don't like it.
Price is 300,- which is pretty reasonable over here.

They Change it, not fix it.
Buffet comes from high pressure air looking for low pressure space. The air hitting the fairing is high pressure air, the space behind the fairing low pressure air or space. Everything we do to fix the problem is really only shifting the low pressure space forward or back, up or down. It seem like the lower fairing pulled the dead space down and forward. So I still get some buffet, but not as bad.

I have done it all and own 5 diff recurved windshields The lowers made my 2010 SG a new bike........I never take them off
