ABS Problem

If I start before I rollback, the ABS light will remain on until I stop, shutdown and start agian moving forward. I had the same Problem while under warranty. My dealer stated it was a broken wire. Wish I had asked more questions because now I do not know where to start.

Broken wire will make the abs light flash, have first hand knowledge on that one......lol

Doesn't the light remain "on" until the bike reaches 5 mph?

ABS Light

No the light stays on and the ABS does not operate. I tried a quick stop to find out. However, if I rollback before I start the bike, the ABS functions properly.

When you say rollback, do you mean rollback the throttle or are you talking about rolling the bike out of the garage?

ABS Problem

Rolling out of the garage. If I start first the light blinks until I start forward then after I start rolling the light stays on. If I back out of the garage before starting the light operates normally.

Sounds like the issue is with the sensor in the front wheel. Hate to say it, but to fix this one, you are probably headed to the dealer. The other option is to throw parts at it until it works...

I would say this is likely the same on all the ABS equipped bikes, the ABS sensor thinks there is a fault as it looks like the wheel is locked so disables the ABS for safety, the answer is to roll the bike back first then start the motor.
