I just noticed that the rear fender tip light on my 09 Ultra went out. What is everyone doing when these go out? I see Custom Dynamics has one for $95 with lifetime warranty and 40 leds. How much is the stock Harley light? And what other replacement options? I did a search and saw MKguitar did a sweet mod replacing the leds inside the "sealed unit". I only got 48,000 miles out of this one and if the Harley one is the same price as Custom, no brainer, lifetime warranty and hopefully brighter?
the custom dynamics is nice, they have great CS and good pricing - ( check ebay and amazon)
i like mine better though.- I didn't replace the LEDS, I added LEDS for brake light function- the added LEDS are blue for a "blue dot" effect when the brake is applied
...having been inside it, the HD unit is pretty well made, I wonder if you might have a wiring problem to yours (?)

I checked the voltage at the plug, it's good. seems to be an issue with the unit itself
When I bought my Classic 3 yrs ago I put on the HD run/brake fender tip light,36k miles later it is still working.Recently I added the Kury run/brake LED bumper insert light.I'm happy with the look and operation of the Kury unit.
