Default Stage 1 SE AC only

Will I see a power improvement with just a SE AC installed on my stock 07 Ultra with stock exhaust? If I get a PCIII is there a map for just a SE AC with stock pipes?

Jim, just about anything that helps the engine move more air through it will result in a power improvement, but once you move more air you'll need to add fuel to the mixture to avoid a lean air/fuel mixture and to maximize the combustion potential. The PCIII is considered one of the best of the fuel management systems out there because of its programmability. Many folks here speak very highly of Jamie at fuelmoto.com; you might drop him a line and see what he says about the equipment combination you are considering. He may already have maps available for that combo. If not, many HD dealerships can tune the PCIII through their dyno.

I don't have a PCIII.....YET.......But based upon what I've read on the forum, I think that is money well spent. I have the Stage 1 download, and my current set-up works very well. However, I will soon buy a PCIII, and will probably be pleasantly surprised. The point is, with the new aircleaner, you SHOULD change the air/fuel mixture for best performance. PCIII is a better investment over Stage 1 download for that purpose. FuelMoto appears to be the best place for service and support.

A highflow SE air cleaner would increase the air flow into the engine. And I'm no mechanical engineer, but it would seem to me that putting more air into an already lean fuel mixture is not a good idea.

I think a PCIII or SERT is a must if you're going to maintain an optimum A/F mixture.

I'd find a new dealer. They all don't have that attitude.
