I just put the 10 inch Paul Yaffe bagger bars on my 06 streetglide. Feels comfortable, not sure that I like the look of the wrists above the fairing. The bars actually measure 12 inches. Has anyone used the krome sweeper bars? Do they really measure 10 inches? If they do then the wrists would be at the top of the fairing.
There are a lot of us with our wrist above the fairing and I think most would say it's not a problem. You really should get out there and put some miles on before you make a decision. I love my 12 1/2 inch apes and probably would have gone with 14's if I was doing it over again. The thing about changing bars is it can get real expensive. Unless you have already tried the bars you are switching to it's a gamble.
When I was researching apes, the conclusion I came to from reading all the threads was to go up a couple inches. I was thinking of 12" and went 14"...of course they were right I was glad I did.

Those are the bars I am looking at. could you post a few pics
I just did a ride from Denver to Dallas with 14" bars, very comfortable, and no issues with hands above fairing. I will say come winter, I am going to need gloves that cover the wrist.
what is the min height of apes on a SG that will allow you to still use the stock fairing mirrors
With the Monkey Bars it's 12", keep in mind the PYO Monkey Bars seem to measure higher. My 12's would measure out as 14's compared to others. That's what my research determined.
The OP's using 10" PYO Monkey Bars. I'd imagine his stock mirror's aren't functional.

you have to go with a minimum of 12" on monkey bars to use tcok fairing mirrors....
I have 10s and i did a painted inner fairing at the same time so it had no mirror..but when i look to where the mirrors would be i'd say they'd be less then 50% visable when looking under the grip...
message to the O.P. IF you decide you don't like those bars give a look at the new WILD 1 10" bars (i think they're model #578).... i have seen them on a SG and they are definately lower then my 10" monkey bars.... i now you said you had Yaffe bagger bars, not monkeys, but i'd bet they measure tall like the monkeys...
