We flew up to Seattle and rented a Limited. Yesterday we rode down to Eureka, Ca and today we came up Hwy 101. We say plenty of redwood trees and bought a few souveniers. The high today in Eureka was 60*. Didn't really dress for 60 and rain, but it was a great day.
We're close to Eugene, OR tonight and need to turn the bike in on Friday. Would like to hear any opinions of good rides in Oregon or Washington. What will we kick ourselves for missing?
Head East to Bend and take 97 to Yakima and then to I-90 back to Seattle or after Yakima hit the 12 or 410 back to the Seattle area (great mountain views) OR head to Portland and then East along the Columbia River and then the 97 to Yakima and to Seattle. Hope the rest of your trip is good!

Ah Yakima...when I went there for pre deployment training, I could have sworn I was already in a deployed location.
If you really have time or want to take in a tourist ride, you can take 97 to Yakima, 12 to 123 to stevens canyon road to paradise road and ride along mt raininer and then jump onto route 7 into spanaway... this ride is just amazing! be sure to take your camera as you will have a stop at reflection lake off of mt rainier along the ride. If I did not have the ability to have lived there this to me would be a must do ride that I would not only kick myself but would wish I did.
I was stationed at Ft Lewis for 6 years and this was a common ride for me. Another is the 410 route into Enumclaw down into federal way back into the valley to jump on I5. You cannot go wrong either way but I loved the paradise road route for the picture taking ops.
We like to take pictures of the bike in front of HD dealerships and state capitols. We've already got Olympia and Salem, so we want to get as many HD dealers and great riding routes as possible.
Thanks for the help
As stated above, Crater Lake is an amazing site to see and a good ride as well. Grants Pass Oregon is a very nice town to stay over at if you are looking for a place to stay. We stayed at a motel right on the Rogue River with all of the balconies overlooking the river. I cant remember the name tho sorry.
