I don't see much the kit does that i can't do with a screwdriver.

BUT I leave mine on year 'round.

better motor cooling in the summer, better leg protection from the cool in the winter ( well, our winter!)

I have the quick disconnects, it depends on how often you plan to remove and install the lowers, if your only going to do it a few times a year, save your $$$$. Mine turned out to be a waste because I now have speakers in the lowers so they stay on.

Takes five minutes to remove the lowers with the standard hardware. The quick disconnect hardware isn't significantly faster, but it is better looking.

The kit is worthless in my opinion.

I have found with, the lowers removed I get more buffeting and air blowing up under my sunglasses. I only did one ride like that and I put them back on, never again they just work too good to leave at home . Same with the quick disconnect tour pack, thought I wanted so my bike looked cooler, I waited a bit to save up and then realized its too handy to take off, glad I waited would have been a waste for me and made the tour pack easier to steal
