TexasSG...what size wheels are yours? They look good! I'm not sure what size to change to.....I dont want to go too big. Just something that looks better than the stock and still rides nice.
Question for you guys with 21's on the front. Read an interesting comment on another thread today that the guy said he was getting new wheels but staying with the 18 for the simple reason that he takes a lot of long trips and if he gets a blow out, the chance of the dealer having a 21 is slim. I'm paraphrasing (sp) but essentially what he said. What are the thoughts on this.
Check out southern mc...they have all there wheels in stock...and they actually make them. I painted the shiny lip on my rear rim black...can't tell its the stocker. Paid $899 for a 21" front...you'll have a hard time beating there price and service...imo

Front is a 21x3.25 with a 120/70/21 Avon Cobra, rear is a 17x6.25 with a 200/50R17 Avon Storm (the Storm tread pattern compliments the Cobra but has better tread life).
Not sure if it's the wheel design, the slammed fender, the lowered front or a combination of those but I get a lot of people asking if it's a 23....works for me!
Also, a correction to my previous post, I got my wheels from Brian at Eastern Performance. And Tea Bagger, FWIW, I paid a few dollars less than that for my front wheel.
Don't go with the Instigators. I did, and now realize they are a dime a dozen at any event.
If I was gonna do it again, I go with the Performance Machine Heathen wheels. GO to their website, you can plug in your bike and see what it will look like with various wheels.
I replaced the rear too because I don't like to do things half assed.

From one '09 SG owner to another, that is one sweet looking SG.
