Today I noticed that when coming off the throttle like when coming to a light I feel a slight clunk in my left handlebar.
This is the first time I have noticed this and as of today the bike has 600 miles on it.
Also one time today when slowly accelerating away from a light I had the trans do what seemed like it jumped out of first gear and I felt a grinding chucking noise for only a second as I immediately pulled the clutch in and positively shifted it back into first.
After that no issues. Is it possible when downshifting as when coming to a light that I didn't shift all the way into first with a lazy downshift?
BTW I noticed the clunk in the handlebar before the shift issue.

shifting does need to be "positive" and after downshifting- like while sitting at a light with the clutch pulled in, the shifter may 'bounce" out of position from the drivetrain vibrating-
clunk- when slowing the weight shifts forward- could be anything from a can of coke rolling forward in the saddlebag to the forks compressing.
