Default O2 Sensors?

I have an 09 SG w/ 26K miles. When is it a good time to replace the O2 sensors? Only mods is true duals w/ cvo mufflers. Gas mileage seems to be around 40ish. Not around town though.

TIA.

Greetings DBLX

I have an 09 SG w/ 50K miles with no problems so far with the O2 sensors.
My ride is total stock and I get about 200 + mpg per tank.

Hello. I'm just wondering based on the engine being air cooled. I get a little over 200 as well. Around town, about 175ish before the light comes on.

There is no need replace O2 sensors unless there is a trouble code set and diagnosed as a bad sensor. If you are changing to aftermarket wide band sensors for auto tuning, that is another story.

The low gas indicators are not reliable on these bikes, we mostly go by the trip meter.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with the o2 sensor but more to do with when to refill the tank I use to run my until the gas light came on until I went through a fuel pump the fuel pump is in the tank and the gas help keep it from over heating so don't let the gas get all the way down where the gas light comes on

+1 for Wulf's comment, no need to replace them unless they are popping a code and causing a check engine light. Stock O2 sensors are only there to keep the bike EPA compliant.

Thanks for the replies. No codes are popping. I just replaced the air filter which I thought I replaced when I purchased the bike. I noticed some oil residue inside the air filter... Is that normal?
