I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a RAM system for my Garmin GPS. Does anyone have the Aqua Box water proof system? Is it worth the extra $$, does it do the job? Can you interact with the GPS while it is in the box or do you have to stop, take it out and use it?
I had one for my IPhone, which uses the electrostatic touch screen. The instructions that came with the AquaBox specifically state that it will not work with that type of touch interface.
If your Garmin uses a pressure sensitive screen, or has real buttons that you can push, then the AquaBox may work for you. Otherwise, you will find you have to stop, open the AquaBox, change your GPS, and then put it back into the AquaBox.
Thinking of getting one for my Garmin 1450. What appeals to me is the fact that you can lock the box and make it just a bit more difficult to steal it in open view..
