Default HD apes vs. Wild 1's

I am trying to decide on one of these 2. Looking at the 12" s from both. Any advice or experience using these mini apes on a SG?

Either one is good as the other.....go with the 1 1/2" whichever you go with, the 1" looks scrawny.

I have a set of the Wild 1's and love them.....probably the best mod I've done.

One piece of advice always go a bit taller then you think you want....wish I would've gone with 14's but I love my 12's!

I followed that and went with 14s instead of the 12s and was glad I did.

I can tell you why I am going from my 12.5's to 14's.. which is happening in about 2 weeks. Once I realized how much more comfortable it was with the apes, I started playing with my hand position. The 14's will raise me up a little bit, and they also have a 1/2" more pullback, which will relieve any / all shoulder and middle back 'strain' I have, allowing me to sit up or slouch back into my seat comfortably. It is amazing how much a small difference up / back makes, especially on the long hauls, but in terms of comfort, the difference is HUGE. I hope this helps... Andrew
