Left taillight: left signal and brake light works but regular light doesn't come on (like when i don't engage turn or brake light, swapped out bulb - easy, but that wasn't it). So, it's a double contact bulb - could it be the bulb socket? If it is, how does it come apart...sure under warranty, but trying to avoid going to stealership - last resort.
I'd check all the pigtail connections back to the main harness under the seat. Probably just have a loose pin at the pigtail coming right off the light itself. The pins just snap into the plugs and sometimes may not have been fully seated.
I'd recheck the new bulb for correct orientation first.
They are supposed to go in only one way, but sometimes those cheap bulbs will go in the wrong way and not work.
