If you RIDE, eventually you will ride [or get caught] in inclement weather. That includes rain, sleet, snow, wind, dust storms, etc. Add to it some great BBQ, a nice Harley and a safe all-around trip and you have the perfect ride story. Congrats to you! Ride on...!

I grew up in charlotte and I remember my parents looking for ANY excuse to make a trip to shelby or lexington for BBQ, Never found anything as good as it since!

If you do, check out the original Arthur Bryant's (located at the corner of ghetto and DaHood). The place has some character to it. It is ALWAYS a stop for me when traveling through KC.

A BBQ run is my idea of a fun run. I live about 10 min. from both Bridges BBQ(Red and Altons) Both are good. I try BBQ in a lot of places. I've found better meat but alway find that something is always missing!! It's usually hushpuppies,sweet tea or red slaw that's missing. If the pork is moist,tender and mildly smoking then I can deal with the regional styles of side dishes. I've already decided that on my tombstone will be " Pig Meat Killed Him"!
