I have 500 miles on my V&H Fishtails. I love the sound and really can't tell any loss in HP or TQ. I am getting a dyno next week to tune out some decal pop, and back firing. I am totally satisfied.
Wanting to do the same thing, I have taken the tips off my Harley SE exhaust, and tried them them on my 3.5" Rineharts, they do fit,
the diameter is right. The bolt holes are different though, so they are not a direct swap. I bought some SS button heads with nuts to use.
You can use the holes in the rineharts, but you have to drill out one or 2 of the holes on the tips to line them up with the holes in the mufflers.
I haven't mounted them yet, but here is a pic of the tips on my bike.
It would be tricky getting the nuts on though, but shouldn't be that hard.
