Midnight Pearl Road King-2012

After 2 Road Kings, a Street Glide and an Electra Glide Classic I finally figured out the Road King (FLHR) is the motorcycle for me. Anyway, they all had their good points, but I determined that I really don't like fairings and Tour-Paks. They are certainly functional, but I like the versatility of the Road King.

Attachments below show 2-up mode. Ordered a Mustang Vintage Solo seat for "one-up" riding, which I do most of the time.

Picture quality not that good, but you get the idea.

one-up...I like you because you make me feel good about myself. You're a guy that changes bikes more than me (or at least as much). I used to think I was the only guy that changes bikes like a he changes underwear (that is no disrespect to your personal hygene).

I'm glad you like your new Road King, the midnight pearl is a good looking color. I wish my FLTRX would have been available in that color.

Anyway..congrats on the new scoot.

BTW - I lived in Indiana for 34 years. The background of your pics make me miss Indiana.

Looks good. So, is the midnight pearl a black color? I like the color just can't tell by the pic. I would have to say that I love my road king also. Nice to see the handle bars and then road. Rather than dash and then road farther out....but there are some sweet glides out there.

I'm sure you know this already, but make sure you put some protective covering on the fender under the seat while you are waiting for your solo seat. You wouldn't want any scuff marks on that nice paint.

Response to color question. Hope this helps.

I have the same exact bike and the midnight pearl looks black in the shade but in the sun it is a beautiful metallic dark blue. This was my favorite color and I waited to order it till I had seen all of the different colors on a FLHR. I am doing a Fuel Moto Stage 1 on mine in the next month, just waiting for the header pipe.[/quote]

I seen your classic at the dealer Saturday, and it looked very similar to you sig pictures. I figured you must of traded after I seen your post in the classifieds wanting to trade for a road king. That is a sharp color as well as is the candy orange.
