Default 2012 roadglide change?

no problems, headlight is fine but i was just looking at bike and thought wow, how do you change the light? does faring have to come off?

The headlights are mounted with screws from the outside, just remove the trim piece & remove the headlights.

Not on my old 2000. You gotta' pull the fairing.

Fortunately I up graded to Halogen Xenon bulbs 3 plus years ago and they're both still burning bright.

OP has a 2012, so all he has to do is as stated, remove the trim piece and then the screws.

yeah, hd has been busy since 2000. thats one of the improvements in the newer models

+1 and even if you needed to remove the outer fairing its an easy 15-25 minute job, 6 screws and the turn signals. A couple good videos on You Tube on fairing removal.

I was wondering how the were going to make up for taking away the Timken Lefty Bearing in '03, and now I know!

Removal only takes about 10 mins. Reinstalling it, now that's another story. Couple of hours and a few beers later still no luck, so I popped out the headlight assembly to gain access and then it only took a few minutes.

On my 07, I updated it to the 2010 set up so I could change the bulbs without pulling the fairing off. I don't remember it being that expensive or difficult to do.....
