I tried a H-D Hammock seat on my RK. Seat was super comfortable but i sat so high i couldn`t touch the ground flat footed anymore. But i`m only 5'9. Someone taller might be ok.

I am 6'4" and weigh in at about 240. We have an Ultimate Tall Boy (moves you back 2 inches) on our Road Glide and love it. If you get a tall boy and mostly ride 2 up, I would not spring for the rider backrest, as it takes up room between you and the passenger (made my wife uncomfortable). That said, I like it and use it when I ride solo. I can ride with this seat all day.

Ultimate will sell you a seat and take it back within 14 days no questions asked.

Wow! Great response and suggestions! Thanks folk. Going to look into all your suggestions. I have the Tour Pak on my RK, so that will be something to consider. Does anyone know if all the seats suggested here have the rider backrest "slot insert" so that I can use it on long solo trips?

Thanks again.

I've had a Mustang, a Tall Boy, and a Sundowner on three different Harleys. 6'2, 250#. All three did good for me.

12 ultra with solo signature seat and pillion for the wife. I am 5/9 165 and she is 5/4 120. Lucky for us we both like the sig series. The girlfriend complained at first but she got over it when i threated to cut her off! At first i was a little high were heel would rock a little on ground at stop but i have since adapted to a more forward/center position at stop. this is only because the comfort of the sig seat was way better than stock for me. i had to adapt anyway as my other ride sits alot lower than my ultra. dealer was very patient as i changed out 3 different seats for demo. i just wanted to get a seat that i could sit in before i purchase as opposed to ordering a different brand. i got burned on a lapera seat for vic and that hurt!! ouch

My Mustang kills me after 100 miles - other folks love them - I even sent mine back to the factory for re-build after 3,000 miles - but it didn't help - everybody's **** is different - another thing I had a Mustang on a V-Star - loved it - so different setting positions must also have something to do with it - T

Default seats

I have Harley's extended reach seat. Moves you back a couple of inches at the expense of your passenger. I'm not all that impressed with it; I plan on a Mustang before too long.
