Hello everybody! I have a 05 Electra Glide Classic, I do not like the seat it seems to go "flat" after a couple of hours and I start doing a lot of squirming. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what a good replacement for this seat would be? I want something comfortable for the long hall. Thanks.
if im riding for a few hours, i find that my badlander seat works well, but on long trips i use a corbin with a backrest, theyre kind of hard when you first sit on them, but they ride very well. and theyre all over ebay for a great price! good luck
I picked up a SunDowner for my Road Glide a month or so ago. I was basically sitting on the pan of my old tour pillow. In all reality your not gonna like the sundowner either, nor a Corbin, Mustang, or any of the HD brand seats. They all create pressure points and your gonna end up wiggling.
My "advice" is to purchase an AirHawk or a Road Zepplin. The AirHawk is the cheapest solution. Long story short I like the Sundowner allot (several 700 mile days with no complaints), BUT my wife hated it. Picked her up an AirHawk and she's happy as can be. They make one specifically for the EG driver seats and I'm pretty sure it runs around $169.
Hope this helps............... T
John TN, I agree! I think Corbin is getting a bit high on their seat pricing. Its almost like they think everyone with a HD has tons of money to drop. I had a "custom" seat specially built for my Wing several years ago, cost me $225... To buy an off the rack Corbin for my Glide is how much these days???$$$$$$ I love their seats, they look great and have a nice firm bucket, the $$ are just getting high.
