Default Clear Lid Protector

Anyone ever use this? If so what are your opinions?

I am using the mustang covers currently but they do take away from the lines of the bags.

I actually looked at them in my local HD dealer this weekend, don't really like them, they had a display lid with it on, I did not really like it, I could see it on the lid and it did not look as shiny as the lid, plus for $80 I am not going to buy it.

Black, like mine, maybe would not be as bad with a lighter color, I have the problem of a wife that can't seem to stop hitting them with her boot when she gets on and off.

Just wax your lids with some good wax couple of times a month and you should be good to go my wife does the same thing on my bike but the wax will protect the clear coat/paint as long as it is not scuffed with rocks.

Default No!

When I got my TriGlide in July, I told the dealer to install the clear coatings on my bike. Last week, I had the same dealer take that stuff off! It looked worse than if I'd scratched the bike. It had a lot of bubbles under the skin, some of the edges were jagged, and it just didn't shine like vivid black does. It seems like a lot of money for a product which still has a lot of development bugs to work out.

Bag lid rails? I put on a set and now they (wife and son) hit their boot on that instead. Rails are pretty tough, no marks on those yet and has been a few years now. Just a thought.

Those are cool but I would think they would fly off easily while going down the road?
