I was curious if anyone knew if the fairing from the 95-98 FLHT would fit in the late 80's-early 90's FLHT? I was thinking I wanted to update that dated speedo/tach cluster for some nice looking gauges since I really don't have a reason not to as I have no radio or speakers currently in my ride.
the fairing 1996 to 2013 is one version--- then the 80's to 1995 is the other.
A newer style fairing will fit the 95 and earlier- but it is a BIG expensive job.
new gauges drive the cost and the electrical is a very, very detailed nightmare. ( like the speedo drive on the older bikes is a cable from the front wheel...the newer speedo has a sensor in the tranny)
I work on electronics for a living and am smart enough to say "no f'in way".
the profile on the fairing ( pre and post '95) is identical.
