Default Click then clunk,Normal?

I started having this happen recently on my 2011 Streetglide when shifting gears. It will do occasionally when cold ,but more often when hot.I shift after 1st gear and can hear and feel 2nd slide in,but after releasing clutch lever I hear the clunk. It does it in all gears louder when downshifting. If I shift at 2500 rpm the noise is more noticeable,if i shift at 3000 rpm or higher not as much.I did the clutch and clutch cable adjustments, also checked tranny and primary oil levels everything seems OK.The other thing I did notice is that when i turn off the bike there is that same clunk as the motor stops turning not a smooth stop like before, but very abrupt.Hope i can get some help on this before I head out to the dealership, its still under warranty!

Don't be concerned it's done it on my trans since day one...in fact I believe my VStar tranny did it as well. If I'm not mistaken, my 98 DWG was like that also.

My '12 Ultra does the same thing when hot. Can't say I've ever heard it when I shut the bike off though. My mechanic tells me not to worry. It's just another of the many HD noises that we need/should get used to!!

Clunk when you shift, and Click when you let out the clutch?
Yup! Mine does it. Runs great.
Get louder pipes. The noises go away.

I didn't notice the second clunk until I took a ride without my helmet. I've posted the same question on the forum and got very few responses; and the ones I did get were similar -- "normal, don't worry about it". My Indy looked at me like I was nuts when I asked him if he could hear the 2nd clunk. I just can't believe that a 2nd clunk like that is "normal". I've only owned 2 Harleys so I'm certainly no expert, but I've been riding bikes a long time and have never heard a noise like that when letting the clutch out. That clunk can't be normal, can it?

I just bought a used 2011 Street Glide. When I turn it off, I get a "clunk" that sounds like somebody dropped a bag of wrenches after the engine sound stops.

This is my first Harley, and I'm a little worried that something is wrong and I'm hearing damage to the internals. My buddy has the same 103 motor on his 2012 Electra glide and his does not make this sound on shut down.

Do you guys think I need to have this looked at? What could be causing this noise?
