No highbeam?
They are independent. If you lose a high beam, the other one still works.
start by testing the bulbs...test the headlight connectors for power in the high beam position.
change your bars maybe ? a pinched or pulled off wire etc.
It's gonna take a little logic to work through the circuits and find the fault
I don;t know about Ont. but in many US States it is legal to use Highs in the daytime- better visibility ( maybe) and evens out the wear on the bulbs
