I really like my Power Vision. Just plug it in, follow a couple steps and you're tuned. I like that I don't have to keep anything on the bike, there's nothing to come loose(like I've seen with a couple friend's Power Commanders) and you can view lots of data on the fly if you choose to.
Very simple to use and very useful. I'd say go for it. I don't regret purchasing mine at all.
I got my Power Vision from Fuel Moto loaded with a couple of maps for my bike. Easy to use. Plug and play. Lots of features. So far I've added Vance and Hines exhaust and an SE air cleaner with more mods to follow. I will save some dough not having to take the bike in for a dyno session after each mod.
I like my power vision, I am not chasing a specific number when it comes to performance but I like having the ability to tune my bike as needed.
I can get more power but it costs me some millage and likewise I can get better millage but I loose power.
I have found what I like for power and millage and am happy, that being said I keep a performance tune in the power vision for the times when I just want to play and do not care about millage.
For me my power vision takes me back to the days of tinkering with the carburetor on my cars trying to get them tuned and performing to my liking.
Don't get me wrong I am not always making adjustments but it gives me the ability of not just riding the bike but actively participating in its performance.
On the ride I might be logging and paying attention to how the bike feels, sounds and operates to lazy evenings studying logs and adjusting the tune as needed.
If you are into tinkering and working on your own bike you will like the power vision as just learning to use it is fun. If you don't like these things then it may not be for you and that is OK everyone is different.
If you decide to get a power vision you can not go wrong getting it from Fuel Moto, they are great to deal with, and truly know how to treat customers.
Another nice feature of it not mentioned is the fact you can put it on a 2nd bike for $199 should you get rid of your current bike.
I traded my 07 in on a 2012 and through Dynojet was able to get a key to clean it and marry it to my 12.
I initially bought it through www.fuelmotousa.com, and as mentioned they have developed some pretty descent maps for quite a few combinations.
Pretty slick little device, and in the long run more cost effective than Harley's offerings.
