Which tuner?
Thinking bout cutting out the cat on my 12 Street Glide, and getting an aftermarket air filter.
If I leave my stock pipes alone when loosing my cat, I understand they might sound pretty good.
In this case which tuner should I install, and what results should I expect?

with hi flow in and out of the motor you'll be looking at a gain of 7 to 10 horsepower.
some guys find they need no tuner, others do.
I'd suggest you read up on the various units available.
there are some good threads on this part of the forum:

I myself am happy with nightrider.com XIEDS- about $110
They plug inline with the o2 sensor and cause the ECM to make the mixture slightly richer. The rev limiter stays at factory settings
*** there are much more complex devices- as you will know if you did some reading
The function works fine for me
uncomplicated
cost works for me too.
typical MPG is at 43 , was at 44 pre-xieds
unplug them if going in for warranty service ( you wanna keep that warranty in force...maybe you should delay your cat removal plans until you are prepared to cover the cost should there be a problem with your motor)

Unless you plan on doing more, that should work for you. I plan to do cams at some point so I went with the Power Vision. I also see the autotune kit in my future.
