"After running for maybe 35 to 40 miles I start losing oil pressure." Are you're saying that the oil pressure drops whilst you are still riding at a constant speed after 35-40 miles?
In other words; the oil pressure is at 32 lbs for the first 35-40 miles and then drops while riding under the same conditions?
If this is the case; then I believe your bike has an oil delivery problem and I certainly would NOT keep riding it until I fixed the problem.
