I just saw an anniversary SE Road Glide at my dealer. They only had 4 2013's out front. Keeping the rest in the back, trying to sell all the 2012's before their 2013 model year open house next month.
Harley Davidson of Mason City, IA has a Typhoon Red one & it looks really nice, if the wife wants you to spend more money I'd say go for it. If you're interested give Jack a call, he won't BS you, straight up guy. #'s 641-512-5005, tell him Doug sent you, he'll do his best. By the way the anniversaries are going to be a lot more limited this year so expect to pay if you haven't made a deposit on one. Especially on anniversary CVOs, most dealers will only get one, if that.
Thanks Doug.
I doubt that there would be any gain in purchasing a bike that far away since I have an option on one (I think at least until Monday).
The Typhoon Red is at a local dealer but it is not the dealer that I have been purcahsing bikes from for the last 21 years.
Howver, as they say, never say never. If all else fails I may be talking with your guy in the near future.
As I said before, I don't care for the Anniversay colors on the Limited or the CVO Ultra.
My bet is that, like many MOCO paint jobs, they will look MUCH better in person and incredible in the sunshine. I was at the dealer today and no anniversary editions, but the candy orange looks great on the tourers I saw. Darker and richer color than the Sedona orange.
I think the only CVO's that I've seen so far is three Road Kings.
Still waiting for the Typhoon Maroon CVO Ultra sometime this week but I guess is ain't gonna happen this week.
Local dealer now says maybe next week so I may be getting the run around, eh?
