Are you using the ktp-445 or the ktp-445u which you linked to? the 445 is plug and play for alpine headunits. The 445u changed to make it easier to use with other headunits.
The 445 is plug and play for Alpine radios. if you already had the radio hooked up then installing this amp is easy as pie. Unplug the head unit harness from the back of the head unit, plug the amp into the head unit and then plug the head unit harness into the other end of the amp. Enjoy more power.

Wow that sounds easy.. The link he's got is to the 445u do u have a link to the plug and play version?
The 445u is just the newer version of the 445. They decided to change the set up to make it for appealing to other uses or to make it a little easier to add to stereos other than Alpine easily.

Ok so this is what I have to work with and how I think it goes together. I have been so confused because I believe this unit has had the factory ends cut off. This leaves me with just the wires to work with, hey it was free what more can I ask for. Anyway this is what I have.
Todays accomplishments:
1. Alpine IDA-X305S has been installed.
2. 6.5 inch Focal speakers installed.
3. I think the wiring figured out.
As you can see in the pictures, I have the factory (black) harness being connected to the wires on the left side of the Alpine power pack. The wires that are not being used for both the radio and amp are zip tied and are off to the side.
Next I have the Biketronics (white) harness being connected to the wires that are coming from the right side of the amp. Again the extra wires that are not being used are zip tied and off to the side.
I believe this setup is correct but will wait on connecting everything until this is confirmed.
I wish I had the money for a Rockford amp and this might have been a lot easier. Anyone know someone looking to sell one?
Anyway thanks for everyones help, You all are great!
I'm pretty sure you have it backwards. I had to go digging around to find mine. If you look at the picture of mine, this is how the amp should have looked when you bought it. I'm sure the ends were cut off because someone didn't hook it up to an Alpine head unit. Anyway, the wires on the left (in my pic) should plug directly into the head unit. The wires on the right should plug directly into the original plug that came with the head unit which would then go to the speakers or factory harness connection. You can always stop into a stereo store and I'm sure they would help you out with it.
