Default Finally

Just put Nightriders Xied's on my 2012 Ultra Limited. Finally a product that lives up to the expectations that they give you through their advertising. Biggest improvement is in the throttle response, but bike did also run cooler as far as exhaust and engine heat. Nothing will make a HD a lot cooler, but was able to tell the difference. Took a pretty good ride, but did not go enough to tell how much MPG may be affected, but don't really care. Happy enough with the performance improvement that giving up a couple of miles per tank does not matter to me. My bike never did ping, so I can't say if the claim to aid pinging is true or not. It's good to be satisfied with a purchase now and then.

nightrider.com makes the xieds

xieds are a resistor pack that plug inline with the o2 sensors.

the resistance causes the ECM to "adjust" for a slightly richer mix.

What is the performance improvement from xieds? Do they make the bike sound different?

There is not a drastic difference in sound, but it will be a little deeper.

Click HERE for list of performance improvements.

I realize that these are less costly than using a remapping but presumably, if you have the software and module the same can be achieved by remapping right?
